It was a lovely summer’s day; there was not a cloud in the sky! The sun was very hot the ground was dry, and the trees were still. The winding lake trickled slowly along, glittering in the sun. Everywhere there were people sunbathing, picnicking, playing games, and enjoying themselves. The ice cream man was very busy, judging by the length of the queue! Everyone looked as if they were having a good time!

But later on in the afternoon, it started to become very cloudy, spots of rain fell and it became very dark and gloomy! The scene then changed, everything looked and felt different! The sun was still shinning but the dark black clouds were covering it from view! Everyone was running to seek cover from the rain!

This story teaches us that in our life, during our “Sunny Days”, when everything is going well, everything feels peaceful, we are having a great time, we feel good, and everything is fine! Life is easy to cope with! But as soon as the “Dark black clouds” come into our life, and things are not so nice or easy, we find life difficult to cope with! Jesus said “…. I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”. John 14:27. “… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”. John 10:10. I Am, is your summer’s day. I Am, is your rest and Peace. I Am, is God’s Son that ever shines!
